Architects Storme Van Ranst have designed new headquarters for PIDPA, the provincial and interurban drinking-water supply company for the province of Antwerp. The well-known landmark tower beside the Antwerp Ring motorway, a valued  part of our architectural heritage from the 1960’s was not demolished, but underwent complete renovation with an extension to provide additional floor space.

After the works, the building looks completely revitalised. Precise use of materials such as glass, granite and corrugated aluminium cladding, provides a refreshing change from the monotony of so many contemporary office towers. The internal  space is designed to provide multifuntional  units which will  enable the building to evolve and adapt to the new technology and equipment developed  by environmentalists.

PIDPA will be renowned not only as an organisation concerned with high environmental standards, but also as one which clearly cares for the well-being of its employees.

lt is now possible to manage the supply of fresh drinking-water to the province in a pleasant, professional and ergonomie working environment
