Summary

The quoted company Ter Beke, one of Belgium’s largest food-processing concerns, commissioned the architectural firm of Storme Van Ranst to carry out a renovation and change of use project.

A property which had fallen into disuse, but which nevertheless had all the appeal of an artefact of industrial archaeology, has been completely renewed and converted into offices. Particular attention was paid to ergonomics and efficiency.

At the same time the administrative headquarters were also renovated. All the buildings on the site now conform with the image that this company wishes to project: tradition, strength and quality without ostentation.

With this project Ter Beke has brought its entire real estate heritage into line with the advanced infrastructure of the production departments. The new areas, with their extensive technological facilities, have created a pleasant working environment, with openness and space to breathe, so that the company can grow and prepare for the future.
