ANTWERP UNIVERSITY

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with classrooms

Project description

In 2009, the University of Antwerp commissioned SVR-ARCHITECTS to design an extension for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with classrooms for microscopy and anatomy.

The expansion was planned adjacent to the south façade of an existing university building, Block T, on the university’s Drie Eiken campus. The campus buildings date from the 70’s and were designed in line with a philosophy of business-like, slick concrete architecture.
