Residential accommodation Stephenson + underground car park (phase 2)
Project description
In 2004 Zuidpoort nv, a subsidiary of property developer ViRiX from Kontich, bought the run-down Belgacom site, located opposite the station in Mechelen. A master plan was then developed in five steps:
– Scope (synthesis design brief)
– Analysis (collect data, study historical development, interpretation qualities, bottlenecks opportunities)
– Vision (objective and future scenario)
– Concepts (spatial translation, principled choices, proposals and solutions)
– Design (implementation concepts in actual situation)
