In Ghent the University launches CAPTURE, a centre for research into re-use of resources. The intent of CAPTURE is to connect academics with companies with a large environmental footprint. The research will take place in a new building in the science park on “Zwijnaarde Island” representing a €15 million investment. “CAPTURE is unique in Europe” says professor Korneel Rabaey of the faculty of Bio-Engineering. Start of construction is planned for mid 2018.
