Summary

The architectural firm, Architektenburo Storme Van Ranst, has designed a new industrial building in Maldegem, commissioned by the printing company Drukkerij Verstraete. The architectural design and organisation of the building correspond with the vanguard position that the company has secured in its sector through innovation and creativity.

The property of 12.000 m2 comprises various spaces that are interrelated and expandable. Taut lines and logical structure have produced a modern,  austere and functional building. Through an openness imposed by the frequent use of glass, state-of-the-art technologies, and a powerful formal character, the building reflects the company’s ambition of permanent growth.

Inside, special attention has been paid to the high level of finishing, ergonomics and quality of workmanship. Two indoor gardens provide light and space right into the core of the building.

The architectural firm was responsible tor all aspects of the project, ranging from architecture, through structure and technology to the design of the furniture and garden.
