A completely new 200-bed rehabilitation hospital was set up by the Christian Charity Society (Maatschappij van Christelijke Liefdadigheid) on Drie Eikenstraat in Edegem. Given the dominant presence of the University Hospital in the immediate vicinity, it was a formal point of departure for this non-profit organization that this building should have its own particular architectural character. This character not only supports Revarté’s identity but also ensures that the values of homeliness, a sense of security and caring are conveyed.
