WOLTERS KLUWER

Office building, interior

Project description

In Mechelen the studio designed a new office for the Dutch parts of international knowledge company Wolters Kluwer. The building was designed in red brick, with extensive use of glass and steel, inevitably evoking both high tech and industry. The basic shape of the building is that of a hand, from which several fingers depart. Thus the office wings start from a central core consisting of a long, wide skylight and facility areas. This is the busily pulsing artery of the building.
