The first phase, in which the first four patient rooms were renovated, has been completed. Next week the second phase will start in which six single rooms and one double room will be renovated. The neonatology department is also undergoing a metamorphosis. Four koala rooms will be created there, where new parents can stay in the same room as their premature baby. In the delivery area, only decorative work will take place, not major renovations.
The patient rooms received a complete makeover. The use of light and natural materials creates a relaxed atmosphere. The practical layout, contemporary furniture and modern equipment makes for a comfortable room. The rooms are equipped with:
- Electrically adjustable bed for the mom
- Co-sleeper bed for the baby
- Comfortable fold-out bed for overnight stay of the partner (overnight stay is not possible in a double room)
- Large changing table with built-in baby bath and lots of storage space
- Contemporary bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet with flushing system
- Comfortable armchair and table with two chairs
- Fridge for personal use
- Ample closet space with built-in safe
- Television with radio and free wireless internet
