Offices
Project description
The studio designed new offices in the vicinity of Antwerp for coffee-roasters Rombouts, who were centralizing their activities. The company has existed for over a hundred years and is a world leader in ready-to-use individual coffee filters.
Working comfort, quality and efficiency were priority issues for clients so possessed by their product that they wanted the building to ‘radiate the warmth of a cup of coffee.’ The architects opted for distinctively residential architecture with a hint of the tropics. At first glance the building looks more like a spacious, modern apartment villa than an office.
